~Sharing (19) in the Progression Into Beauty project~
Okay… well… new awareness in the middle of the night last night. I have such a strong commitment to getting healthy, physically, that my body is now talking to me. I attended a special premier of the new Harry Potter movie last night around 5ish. We got out of the movie at 7:15, hung around for awhile talking with our friends and then left the theater at 7:30. I had eaten a beautiful Caribbean Chicken salad at lunch around noon. And no treats in the movie! YAY ME!
I had gone 7 1/2 hours without eating and, honestly, salads don’t last me that long as fuel, even with grilled chicken tossed in. So by the time we were on the road from the movie, I was famished and sick and a little delirious. The only thing I – and my daughter – could think about was FEED ME NOW!!!
We stopped at a little Chinese Food restaurant near our house. I like this place because they cook without MSG. By the time we got our food, it as past 8:00. I ate, slowly considering how ravenous I was. Then we went home, watched a movie and hit the hay fairly early – around 10:30pm. At 2:00am, I was wide awake and SICK SICK SICK. My body was rejecting this food that wasn’t the healthiest choice for me and was also put in too late. This is the SECOND time something like this has happened since July 1st.
Note to self: Must eat earlier than 7:00pm unless you want to be sick and when you do eat, avoid fried foods.
