The Rain of Hell

I’m having an image from some sci-fi action movie flash before my eyes. I can’t remember what movie it was from. Perhaps it isn’t from a movie. Perhaps it is my ability to see things that others cannot. I don’t know. All I know is… no matter what… the flash is persistent.

What I see is this: There is ONE “evil” creature coming up against mankind. When mankind destroys that “evil” creature they cheer and celebrate. All the while, they are oblivious that, in the distance, there is a growing blackness. The creature’s minions are released in huge, unending waves. They had been standing behind their leader, hidden and waiting for that very thing to happen: for their leader to be destroyed. Their only command: “upon My destruction, rain hell down upon their heads.” And hell comes rolling forth.

I can’t shake it.

    This is very powerful.
Hugs to you as you hold these images, this darkness, and this pain.

    • Thank you, Miss Jen. I had hoped that writing it out would get it out, but… alas… it has not…

  2. Oh, Angie,
That is kinda dramatic. Personally, I prefer living in Mayberry where Andy and Barney keep us all safe. I don’t like scary things.

But, I understand where you are coming from. I just hope I get to live in Mayberry a little longer before it turns into a Nightmare on Elm Street.
